This is Elvisland, also known as Graceland, Too. Located in the small town of Holly Springs, Mississippi, the blue mansion is owned and curated by Paul McLeod, the self-proclaimed world’s biggest Elvis fan. When we arrived, directly from Graceland, Marin and I were a little shy to knock on the door after noticing that all of the windows had been completely blacked out. Paul grabbed us by our hands and welcomed us in, and didn’t stop talking until we left an hour later. He told us stories and sang to us, his mouth moving so fast he could barely keep his teeth in. The house is covered, from floor to ceiling, in Elvis memorabilia. Every poster, TV Guide, candy wrapper, newspaper-clipping that contains anything Elvis is displayed or buried somewhere in Paul’s house. Amazingly obsessed.
